After Abby kicks Lane out, she falls into an alcoholic despair. Stan the landlord brings in Karen, a new roomate to help Abby pay the bills. Karen turns out to be in much worse shape and shows Abby her mirror image.

| Inspiration (AJ Gonzales): We needed Abby to see "herself" in a big, bold and funny way, so she would get her act together. She leaves the house, gets a job and falls in love before Lane's return home from Mexico. To accomplish all that, and do it in a funny way, we had to rely on Elaine to come in and knock everyone over as a rude, crude drunk who would drive anyone away from drinking. |
