Walter Unger

Walter Unger is Tony's younger, wheelchair-bound brother in "Are You Having A Good Day?". He lives with Tony and Esther and relies on Tony for much of his care. He complains a whole lot and is right behind Esther in terms of making Tony's life difficult. He sells his soul to Satan to regain his ability to walk.

Inspiration (AJ Gonzales): One of the layers I hoped to add to Tony Unger was a sense of self blame/hate, that if Tony was responsible for Walter's accident, it would be a daily stressor to Tony by not only having to care for Walter, but to feel guilt that Walter was in that situation because of him. Having Mike play Walter was another chance to let Mike steal the scenes and combine his comic relief with some pretty believable bitching. |
